We'll be leaving for a 5 day camping trip Thursday morning. I am very excited. So are the kids. My husband told me yesterday evening he would prefer to go to Houston. We'll do that another time.

I normally have a little more time to plan a trip but since we just decided on where we want to go on Friday night. That left me really just 2 days to plan, pack, stock and get ready.

I make alot of lists when planning for a trip. My lists look something like this:

MY BOYS WANT A BATTING CAGE

Mr. D and I went out last night to measure the batting cage that they use to practice. When I heard this I heard "Baseball practice at my house" :-(
Anyway, it looks like they may do this. We have the steel and I guess I'll be ordering the netting stuff. We will see. I hope they enjoy it.
The only thing I questioned is why not build it on our land where we plan to build our new house instead of building it on our land where our house is now and having to move it soon?

CAMPER REPAIRS

On our last trip Mr. D. broke the shower thingy at the faucet. How that happened, I don't know. The kids say he woke them up and ask them if they broke it.

My daughter told me, how would anyone else break it when it broke when he was in the shower? haahaaaaaa.

Anyway I bought a new one and planned to install it by myself. I was able to get most of the old faucet off and the plumbing exposed but Mr. D had to finish it. He had told me to call a plumber. Well, it took us awhile to get this new faucet installed and maybe it would have been easier just to call a plumber.

old faucet Mr. D broke

new faucet we installed

Let me just mention Mr. D seems to break alot of things on this trailer. Let see, he broke the jacks, the hitch, the shower and he broke the bathroom door last night. Seems like there is something else......oh all the blinds at every window in the trailer looks great except the blinds on his side of our room. I love him though, that crazy man.

These were my first pickings from my garden.
I wish I had more time to dedicate to my garden.

STORAGE BUILDING GONE

Friday I was meeting with a contractor, when he was leaving he asked if I was willing to sell my Sidekick. I have thought about selling it but always imagine myself fixing it up or something. I think I might sell it. He's from South America, even though he's lived here since 1979 he has a son there. And would like to get this Sidekick to his son. He says gas is $6 a gallon there.

I asked him how much he would charge to tear down this old shed and move it off my property. My husband was talking about how we could still use it, we could do this and that. Well, it's been there for years and nothing has been done, it's time for it to go. He gave me a price, I paid him and he came to get it done yesterday. When my husband made it home he thought of somethings he would have liked to get out of that shed and was a little upset. But if you knew he was coming to do it why didn't you take care of that.

Anyway, I'm glad it gone.
